Most people I talk to aren't confused because financial planning is inherently complicated. They're confused because nobody has taken the time to explain how their tax return connects to their retirement strategy, or why timing matters when it comes to Social Security and distributions. That's the gap I wanted to help close.
I joined Legacy Tax & Wealth Management in 2025 because the firm's approach made sense: integrate tax preparation with retirement planning so clients can see how decisions in one area affect the other. I work with clients on tax preparation, retirement income strategies, and the planning that connects both. What I enjoy most is watching someone finally understand their full financial picture and realize they have a plan they can actually follow with confidence.
What I find most interesting is how two clients with similar incomes and savings can need completely different approaches. Their priorities, family situations, and retirement timelines create unique planning challenges. That's where the work gets valuable: building strategies tailored to what they actually need, not what works for someone else.
I grew up in Somerset, Kentucky, a small rural town that taught me the importance of hard work, gratitude, and looking out for your community. Those values shape how I approach client relationships today. I was raised primarily by my mother and brother, and their support reinforced lessons about stability, responsibility, and thinking long-term. Those aren't abstract concepts when you've seen firsthand how planning ahead creates security. My girlfriend and I live in Knoxville now, and the city offers the right mix of opportunity and community.
Outside of work, I stay active through weightlifting and basketball. I also enjoy reading, hiking, and traveling when time allows. I place a strong emphasis on continuing my education because this industry moves quickly, and clients deserve someone who stays current. The more I learn, the better I can serve the people who trust me with their financial future.
